You may have heard me talking about Color for Clarity
In case you’re not sure what I’m on about, Color for Clarity is an adult coloring book to which I was asked to contribute a few months back. Along with five other fabulous artists, including Kristal Norton, the creator, I produced ten drawings, each with a word, phrase or question to encourage contemplation while colouring.
Colouring is in itself a pretty meditative activity, and as you’ve no doubt observed, adult colouring books have recently been enjoying an astonishing rise in popularity. This book makes the process a little bit more intentional, so that rather than perhaps worrying about what’s on your mind or being distracted by to do lists, you can use the process to go a bit deeper, to spend a bit of time with how you really feel about things, and maybe even gain insights and moments of clarity.
It’s so easy to live on the surface of life when there’s so much calling for our attention, and I support any opportunity to go beyond that in fun and creative ways.
