Since the decorator finished last week, things are really starting to come together round these parts. I have a LOT of clearing and tidying and cleaning still to do but slowly slowly it’s starting to look like the home I would love to live in.
On Sunday I decided it was time to hang the pictures. I’ve been gathering prints and art work by my favourite artists and gradually framing them, and I figured I had enough now to make a nice display behind the sofa.
I am never going to be that person that does a job ‘properly’; you know, with the measuring and the cutting out of templates or anything that involves accuracy. I just laid the pictures on the floor in a pattern that pleased me and which would allow for additions later on…And then I banged some nails in the wall, using the pictures and where their strings were to guide me where to put them. EASY.
I am super pleased with the result!
I can see this becoming a fab art wall. Every time I look at it I get a little rush of pleasure. 🙂
What a great idea Tara and it's looking really good. Love all the pink blue and white.
Love it!!and it can keep growing too..PLUS..I love your support of other artists!!
Oh! so exciting!! A beautiful wall …..
beautiful room!!! makes me want to paint my walls now!
Looks great!
Thanks everyone 🙂
Good Job! I hope one day my walls are covered floor to ceiling! I am on my way. I used to never measure and all that stuff but with plaster wall and an irate husband I try my best not to put to many holes in the wall. LOL, doesn't always work that way..but the pictures will cover them. ;o)
