Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a princess called Tara (indulge me) and she won a competition and the prize was one of Katherine Quinn‘s beautiful (BEAUTIFUL) pieces of work. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth across the land as the unlucky losers bemoaned their misfortune, but Princess Tara was so so very happy and excited. Every day she checked the post to see if her painting had arrived yet. And every day the postman shook his head sadly. Princess Tara was very upset, not least for Katherine because of the loss of all her hard work.
But Katherine turned out to be a Fairy Godmother, because she made another painting for the princess, and lo! This one made it through the postal system and arrived safely this very morning.
And the princess was overjoyed because the painting was even more beautiful in the flesh than on her laptop screen, and she couldn’t wait to tell everyone about it even though she’d already posted once already this morning.
And she lived happy ever after.
Absolutely adorable. Wonderful work. I especially enjoy the text on her wings. Lovely!
What a wonderful story! Love it and the painting is just too cute!! Congrats!
It's lovely – what a hideous shame that the first pic was lost in the post
That's such a great post…very funny…all topped off with a beautiful painting…lucky Princess Tara x
what a funny story… I am so so so glad you got this one. I can finally uncross my poor fingers.
Thank you for the fairy tale, love the happy ending. Also thanks for the intro to Katherine's work. Visited her website and felt so inspired by you both!
