I put my name down a few months ago for wall space in the Mad Hatter cafe in Brighton. They don’t charge any fees or commission so it’s a very popular place for local artists to show their work. My slot was due to be in January 2012!
Then I got a call yesterday saying they’d had a cancellation and would I like to put my paintings up for a couple of weeks?
And here are some very bad photos taken after I’d sweated for an hour over hanging eight unwieldy canvases by almost invisible fishing thread from a height juuuuuuuust above what I could stretch to while standing on tables.
I think they look good though, not too wonky. And I got to hang out with the owner’s eight year old daughter and talk painting, which was pretty cool.
I’ll try to get better pictures next week. 🙂
Oh I love it!!–Good luck!!
Oooo they look fabulous and fit in with the decor so well. Hope you sell some!!!
