willingtoexperiment

In my last post about Express It Month, I shared some of the work I’ve been making as part of the experiment into expressing feelings directly through art. And because it hasn’t just been me doing this, I wanted to share some of the creations of the people who have also been participating, both on Instagram and in my private Facebook group.

I didn’t imagine the idea would be as popular as it has been, and am so glad not just to do it in company, but to witness and hear from people who have found it helpful on their own creative path.

Express It Month is now available inside the Happy Artist Studio!

So here are some of the diverse pieces that have been generated as a result of the experiment! What I love is the uniqueness that comes through in each one. I am starting to suspect it’s not as hard to make art that’s unique to each of us as we can often think. Get ready for a visual feast!

Pretty excellent, right?! I’ve been so enjoying how experimental people have been willing to be, and finding the courage to share what they’re creating, especially since expressing personal feelings openly can feel very vulnerable.
