Cathy Nichols is hosting Found Art Fridays, where you can submit work for the last Friday of every month, with each month having a particular theme. The first one is this Friday, and as it’s about to be Feb, the theme is Big Love. Here’s my entry; a mixed media collage with lots and lots of love on it!
First stage, collage.
Then, some red and pink paint, and some words cut out in different fonts.
Then, use the words as templates to paint white over. (V fiddly because I don’t have any removable glue!)
Then just keep adding words, using the cut out shapes left from the words as well as black and white pens.
Then, Ta da!
That's beautiful! :o) It's great to see the layers build up! The colours and textures are lovely – i always want to touch things like this!

AWESOME!! I really love your piece, Tara. I can't wait to post it on FAF. xoxo! Just looking at it is getting me excited for Friday.
That is lush!
I love seeing all the layers go on and the finished effect is just gorgeous!
Hey Tara! Thankyou for your comment & you're welcome! (^_^)
No worries, i find it hard to keep up with everybody!
I used Picnik to shape the corners :o) there's a tab called 'create' & under that, another tab called 'frames' – there's lots of different options & most of them are free! (this one is)
here's the link!
