Busy weekend with Cara staying, so no time for drawing, plus it seems I simply cannot get ‘in the zone’ with someone else around. Anyway, this is where I’m at currently with the portraits in my art journal.
I’m finding the backgrounds really hard; I just don’t know what to do with them! I don’t want them to end up looking twee or overdone.

these are looking really good… backgrounds are hard, I often struggle with what to put in them too.
Hi Tara – these are looking good.
The biggest thing I've got from Suzi is to just keep working a page – if you don't like it do something to it – oh yes and stop wanting perfection lol – if it doesn't work out so what? You can draw more, do more backgrounds – no one's counting!
