This painting has been lovingly worked and reworked! Underneath the painting you see is a whole other painting. I often paint over older work as I grow and change in my approach and outlook. The beauty of layering paintings is that some of the old still shows through in the new; without the first layer(s) we would not have the depth and experience we have now.
