I saw this idea on Lianne’s blog the other day {she found it here}, and immediately thought, ahaaaaa. What with all the cooking shenanigans that’s been going on round here, and the fact that I had two out of the three ingredients required, it seemed very silly indeed not to try it.
I had an empty frame and wallpaper {wrapping paper would also work of course, or even fabric}, and after about two minutes on Ebay I also had dry wipe markers. Shame they don’t come in prettier colours.
It was too easy ~ cut out paper to right size, put in frame, write on glass. Done. We’ll overlook the fact that I don’t plan anything ahead of time unless I really have to. I’m kind of hoping this might help me prevent the ‘I just did a shop where the heck has all the food gone’ dilemma.
That’s my kind of project.
I like the way Lianne took the idea further and added space for lists and things too.

Looks fantastic! Wonderful idea!
What a great idea. This would make great little christmas pressies.
What a cool idea! If I had this then last night our curry might have had some meat in it! Other half was wondering where the chicken was in his curry. I just pretended that I’d intended a veggie meal…. It was rather nice though
That’s my kind of project, too–my mind’s already racing to think of fabric and papers I could use!
Looks great! And your comments made me smile…
thanks for sharing.

Great job! Mines been a life saver recently- especially the ‘to do’ section. Just made a small pinboard along these lines on request of hubby who wanted a place in the kitchen to pin shopping vouchers and discounts. Instead of putting a paper background in I got a bit of flat polystyrene of about 5-10mm thick (plenty of that going around at Xmas time from packaging etc) and covered it with fabric. Then I slotted that in the frame, minus the glass, and voila, Pinboard.
Genius idea for a pinboard! Love it! And welcome back
