So I made a journal. I saw this easy how to in the spring edition of UK Handmade magazine. (Page 64/65)
Naturally mine doesn’t have quite the finesse of the example, but check it! It’s not that bad!
The covers are made of some card I had lying about, which I covered with some Lu Summers wrapping paper (front) and some inside of a big envelope (back).
And a nice stripy ribbon to tie it together. (Tip: tie it REALLY loosely otherwise the pages won’t lie flat.)
I made the pages from various paper scraps – wrapping paper, sheet music, papers I’d painted for backgrounds and not yet used, magazine pages, brown paper.
I was thinking of using it for the 21 Secrets class, but the lure of a new journal is also strong…

What you've created is yours and it is all you — it needn't be like the sample in the magazine…it only needs to be part of who you are. Looking forward to seeing what you fill this with!
